Beijing West Cycling 京西骑行群 group headed to Xia’An Lu 下安路 this past weekend. Cloudy and less humid made for good cycling weather. Eleven riders started out early from Wukesong at 6:30, weaving our way through light morning traffic. A leisurely pace took us up and over the main climb. Two refuelling stops and coffee at the end made for lots of time to talk! 😀 The aim of our social rides is just that, social. Riding our bikes is a perfect way to get to know each other, catch up with old friends and make new friends and connections. In a city as big and diverse as Beijing, it’s important to find your community of people who have shared interest. That’s what our group is all about and this is especially emphasized on our ‘social rides’. Special shout out to a few of the novice riders who joined us for the first time 💪. Great effort!
