The ‘New Shougang Bridge’ spans the Yongding river and marks the boundary between Beijing’s western Shijingshan and Mentougou districts. Opened in 2019, the bridge is 1,354 meters in length and is the gateway to Beijing western mountains.

Its iconic white arches are often the start point for cyclist’s journeys into the mountains, or marks the end point as they return from a long day riding in the western foothills. Make sure to pass by at either sunrise or sunset, to catch beautiful views over the river and the nearby Winter Olympic Park.
