Two days ago, Beijing West riders Arek, Sean and Patrick headed to Shuangda Lu  双大路 for a reconnaissance ride. Setting off from Wukesong at 6 a.m., they headed west to the fabled Shuangda Lu climb through the valleys of Mentougou. Rain in the mountains and police checkpoints didn’t deter them as they finally reached the iconic road. If you’ve never been there, this may just be the best cycling road in the west of the city (maybe the whole city?!). Here are a few pics below.
